Workshop on Outcomes-Based Quality Assurance and Online Accreditation Orientation – AACCUP

Event Background Information:
From August 2 to 4, 2023, EARIST held a three-day workshop, run in coordination with AACCUP, focused on outcomes-based quality assurance (OBQA) and the mechanics of the online accreditation process. Rather than assessing a specific program, this session equipped faculty and quality-assurance personnel with the frameworks, documentation practices, and evaluation logic AACCUP itself uses — so that departments preparing for future survey visits would understand what assessors look for and why. Sessions covered how to translate learning outcomes into evidence, how self-survey reports are structured, and how institutional data supports each accreditation area.

To build internal capacity for outcomes-based quality assurance and demystify the online accreditation process, so that academic units can prepare stronger, more evidence-based self-survey reports ahead of their own AACCUP visits.
