Abstract
The global higher education sector is undergoing a significant transformation due to globalization, technological advancements, and evolving workforce demands, highlighting the crucial need for continuous faculty development to ensure competitiveness and quality education. In Metro Manila, a key issue is how effectively Higher Education Institutions (HEIS) are optimizing faculty development programs to navigate this dynamic landscape and address the diverse needs of their faculty. The Philippines has a robust legal and policy framework supporting faculty development, including Republic Act No. 7722, Republic Act No. 10912, CHED Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 1, Series of 2025, and CMO No. 46, Series of 2012. Adherence to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, specifically Target 4.c, further emphasizes the global commitment to increasing the supply of qualified educators and leaders.
